Question:
I want to post my content in a webpage and apply for google adsense. I tried posting it in blogs and applying for adsense but they won’t allow blogging in adsense. Where else can i create my page and apply for adsense for free? How can I start a website for AdSense?
Answer:
Adsense DOES allow blogging. You may not have had substantial content in order to get approved for AdSense so you got denied. You don’t say what kind of blog you have. It can’t be a WordPress.com blog because WordPress.com doesn’t allow monetization of any kind, so Adsense would not have been able to approve it. But you CAN have your own WordPress blog if you get your own web hosting account.
If you don’t want to pay for hosting then you can use a free Blogger blog. They make it easy to run Adsense because Google owns both Blogger and Adsense.
But the worst thing you can do is to start a website for Adsense. You’ll end up with a made-for-Adsense site, not a site made for users. And that’s not a good start. Google HATES those kinds of sites because it’s not a good deal for it’s advertisers.
Create a site for users; a site that addresses a need in the marketplace. Then monetize it with Adsense. Your users should be your priority — then and only then can you succeed with Adsense
Some sites do very well with Adsense (even in the millions of dollars a year) while many more sites do extremely poorly with the program (can’t even earn $ 10 a month). One of the misconception people have about Adsense is they simply slap it in their websites and it will automatically earn them big money — which is not true as evidenced by the many disgruntled webmasters
Your income will depend on:
- the topic of your site (if you have high paying keywords you stand to earn more)
- responsiveness of users to ad (are visitors coming to your site with blinders in their eye or do they look at the ads as additional complementary resource)
- traffic (you earn more with more traffic, even if you have low paying keywords or other metrics)
- how you implement the ads on your site (some positions and colors work better than others)
The #1 most important rule is to give your readers what they are searching for. Google wants its users to have a good experience. Click here to learn how to make a blog or website that Adsense loves.
