Question:
I would like to export the data from the Google External Keyword tool to an Excel spreadsheet so that I can delete rows and columns of information as needed. Is there a way to get that table of information to an excel spreadsheet? I want all the details about the keywords as well that is shown. Not just a huge list of keywords. That is not helpful to me.
Answer:
Yes, you can. To get additional details click on the ‘Columns’ button on the right side, then select all columns. Then over on the left side is a ‘Download’ button that allows you to export the list into several different formats, including Excel.
However, Google’s gotten WAY stingy with the details. Amoung other things, they took away how much keywords cost and that’s a huge blow for Adsense publishers when doing keyword research to find high paying ads. The data’s still there, but it’s not displayed in their keyword tool. For that you need access to the API, but since you and I aren’t programmers capable of getting that information, we need one of these steroid-fed keyword tools.
